Lockdown Masters 2 – Thank You!

16 May 2021

Wow! We never planned on doing a second Lockdown Masters. We hoped we wouldn’t need one! But then it was clear how much you all enjoyed this first – and how much we enjoyed seeing you dance.

We were totally amazed by the number of registrations. More than 395 of you from more than 18 countries (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland; Sweden, Finland; Netherlands; France; South Africa; South Korea; USA; Canada; Ireland; Taiwan; Indonesia; Germany; Italy; Spain; and Australia), filming yourselves in a variety of places to take part and support our amazing community. The standard of dancing was amazing and it really gave our judges a difficult job and scorers some brain-melting tiebreakers.

Some additional numbers you might find interesting:

A) We processed 1033 video dance videos from you;
B) It was more than 250GB worth of footage;
C) We produced 44 different divisional videos, which took 75 hours of editing time and 66 hours to render (i.e. save);
D) On day 1, we had +12,000 views from more than 41 countries, including someone in the Bahamas (lucky them!);
D) (Bonus for the geeks like Sam) It was all edited on a super-powerful iMac Pro with 128GB RAM and a 12-core processor.

Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone who made the commitment to take part. The level of talent was seriously high and we cannot wait to have such a big contest in person once more.
